AdminHistory Bexley Division comprised the following wards in 1947: Christchurch, Brampton, Falconwood, Danson, St. Michael's, St. Mary's. The Labour Party took control of Bexley Borough Council in 1945 but lost power to the Conservatives in May 1949. The MP for Bexley in this period was a Labour member, Earnest Ashley Bramall, who was elected in a by-election of July 1946. He contributed regular reports to the newsletter, which was first published by the Bexley Divisional Labour Party in February 1947.
